George was admitted to the Bar in 1982 and began his legal career with Drew & Napier. In 1987, he joined Wee & Tay as a partner and the firm was renamed Wee, Tay & Lim. George is a Senior Counsel and former Law Society President. Since 2015, George has been focused on building his mediation practice and is ranked in the Who’s Who Legal guide for mediation.
George received his training in mediation at Harvard Law School. He is a certified mediator with the IMI and helped to set up the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) and is the Chairman of the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC). He has mediated over 300 matters that range from family disputes to complex cross-border commercial issues.
